I was reared in a lower-middle class suburb north of Atlanta, Georgia. Having never moved locations, my solid friendships with nearby kids lasted over a decade and were marked with priceless memories of playing baseball and basketball every day until we could no longer see the ball at night. My loving parents served as great examples of many virtues, including honesty, integrety, respect, and the value of hard work. I could not have had it any better, and for this, I'm grateful.

Primary School

I was always interested in school and did pretty well; however, my high school era was marked with a somewhat apathy towards obtaining perfect marks in academics. Although I still cared to learn, my friends and I were more interested in having fun and trying to make this malleable stage of our lives memorable. We did a good job, and I'll never forget those countless days and nights at Best Friend Park.

Undergraduate College

I returned to my former interests in academics and fueled my unyielding curiousity by finding what I enjoy and working as hard as I possibly could. These years were simply an amazing time of learning about my passions, myself, and others. Florida Tech's small campus provided a lot of opportunities and served as the perfect stepping stone in many ways.

Graduate School

In May 2007, I moved to Los Angeles, California to intern at Google (in Santa Monica) and start graduate school at UCLA. My Master's was in Computer Science, and my interests lied in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. Specifically, I researched animats-based learning and natural language processing, and I graduated in May 2009.

Present Day

Upon graduating, I excitedly accepted an Associate Staff research position at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. It was time to once again pack up my bags and move. For many years I had dreamt of living in Boston, so it feels great to finally be here and to make it my new home.

Interests

My top passions are playing baseball, art, photography, billiards, weight lifting, computer science, and mathematics. In addition, like everyone else, I am rather addicted to music and thoroughly enjoy quality films. It is my goal to vacation in at least one interesting, exotic country each year.
