A Glimpse of Myanmar (2016)

With just a small 30-liter carry-on backpack, photographer Chris Tanner continues his travel adventures by backpacking in Asia for several months. In this photo book, he showcases his favorite pictures – with brief descriptions – from his action-packed time in Myanmar, which included: wandering in the metropolis of Yangon; hitchhiking in trucks to reach more rural areas of Yinpin and Hpa-An; hiking for 3 days (45miles) with no electricity and sleeping in villages; and hiking up a mountain and staying overnight at a remote Buddhist temple. Myanmar quickly became one of the author’s favorite countries, and through his photographs, he aims to show a glimpse into the Myanmar culture, people, and landscapes.
